Why is animal feed testing necessary?

Animal feed comes in a wide variety of types from diverse sources. However, to comply with government regulations, ensure animal safety, boost the domestic livestock industry, and increase export volumes, it is essential that feed be supplied by reputable establishments that have conducted quality testing in accordance with regulations. Quality testing enables regulatory bodies to make informed decisions regarding whether products meet the necessary standards for market release.

Current regulations on animal feed testing

Currently, the testing of animal feed in Vietnam will be conducted in accordance with the following regulations:

• QCVN 01-183:2016/BNNPTNT: National Technical Regulation on Animal Feed – Maximum Permissible Levels of Mycotoxins, Heavy Metals and Microorganisms in Compound Feed for Livestock and Poultry.

Animal feed testing parameters
