Your Competence Centre for GMO

Eurofins GeneScan GmbH, our Competence Centre for GMO testing, has supported the food and feed industry for decades with reliable methods for GMO screening, identification, and quantification. We serve the entire value chain, from seed breeding and trade to food and feed production and retail, ensuring compliance and consumer confidence.

A wide range of substances are produced using genetically modified microorganisms (GMMOs). These include amino acids used as additives or dietary supplements, flavour compounds, and enzymes applied as processing aids. Vitamins such as B2 (riboflavin), H (biotin), C (ascorbic acid), and B12 are increasingly manufactured through biotechnological processes.
