What is consent to discharge testing

Under the Water Resources Act 1991, businesses discharging to surface or controlled waters must hold a valid consent specifying limits for pollutants such as chemical oxygen demand, biological oxygen demand, ammonia, nutrients, metals and organic compounds. Breaches; including the release of poisonous, noxious or polluting matter; can result in enforcement action. Our accredited testing helps you demonstrate compliance and reduce risk.
