Sample bottles

At Eurofins Water Hygiene Testing, we’re committed to providing accurate and reliable results from every sample you submit. One of the simplest ways to help ensure this is by using the correct sample bottles.

To maintain the quality and consistency of results for all our customers, we require that all samples are submitted in the correct containers. If samples are received in unsuitable bottles, they will not be tested, and a £10 disposal fee will be applied.

To avoid any delays or additional charges, please ensure you use the appropriate containers as outlined in our sample container guide. If you’re unsure, our team is always happy to help.

Sending your water samples

Following the correct procedures when submitting water samples is essential to ensure accurate, reliable results. It helps prevent contamination and ensures compliance with testing requirements.

To protect the integrity of your samples, please follow our guidance:

• Use the correct containers; Collect samples in sterile, approved bottles (see sample container guide)
• Fill the containers to the fill line (see sample volume guide) 
• Label clearly; include company name, sample ID, date, time and source
• Store appropriately; follow guidance for test-specific storage conditions
• Complete the submission form; ensure all required information is provided. Place the form in the designated paperwork box. Paperwork placed elsewhere may be lost in transit and treated as not provided
• Deliver promptly; use our approved drop-off locations
