Eurofins launches China Compulsory Certification Services for Toys Products

Eurofins Toys & Hardlines is pleased to announce that its laboratory in Hong Kong has received the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) for its toys testing service from Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS), and launches the CCC certification services in cooperation with Certification Center of Light Industry Council (CCLC). This certification services cover both plastic and metal toys.

CCC is implemented by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) to ensure safety for consumers in China. The certification programme covers a wide range of products, including children’s toys. All toys being imported to the Chinese market must fulfill the CCC requirements.

Eurofins’ new services offer a four-step certification process: application, testing, certification issuance and follow-up inspection. Throughout, the Eurofins team provides seamless project management, allowing customers to accelerate their entrance to the market.

According to the trade report from China Toy & Juvenile Products Association, sales of toys through the largest online B2C platform in China has recorded a robust year-on-year rise of 18.5% in August 2020, signalling a prosperous outlook for the toy industry in this booming market. Eurofins’ new offering will provide much needed assistance to overseas toys brands, retailers and suppliers in accessing this important market.
