Ecolabel criteria for electronic displays
On 1st December 2020, the European Commission published the following amendments related to Ecolabel criteria for electronic displays.
“Commission Decision (EU) 2020/1804 of 27 November 2020 establishing the EU Ecolabel criteria for electronic displays”.
The main points of this Decision are:
- The product group ‘electronic displays’ is composed of comprise televisions, monitors and digital signage displays. See definitions in Article 2 of this Decision.
- The EU Ecolabel criteria for the product group ‘electronic displays’ and the related assessment and verification requirements shall be valid until 31 December 2028.
- For administrative purposes, the code number for electronic displays is 022.
- Decision 2009/300/EC is repealed.
