Draft Resolution "Energy efficiency labelling"


It contains the regulatory framework establishing the requirements and key criteria concerning energy efficiency labelling to be met by all appliances that consume electricity for their operation. It applies to the following appliances: Refrigerators, coolers, freezers and combinations thereof, electric washing machines, televisions and television monitors, air conditioners, incandescent and halogen lamps with tungsten filaments, fluorescent lamps, electric microwave ovens, electric storage water heaters, single- and three-phase induction motors. The adjustment and implementation periods are set out in Article 14 and Annex II of the draft text

  • RSS-222, Issue 2, White Space Devices (WSDs), sets out the certification requirements for licence-exempt radio apparatus operating in the frequency bands 54-72 MHz, 76-88 MHz, 174-216 MHz, 470-608 MHz and 657-663 MHz, known as white space devices (WSDs)
  • DBS-01, Issue 2, White Space Database Specifications which sets out the technical requirements for the designation of a database capable of identifying available channels for use by white space devices in the white space frequency bands (i.e. 54-72 MHz, 76-88 MHz, 174-216MHz, 470-608 MHz and 657-663 MHz)

Draft Decree of Minister of Industry on Mandatory Implementation of Indonesian National Standard for Kitchen Machines and Appliances for Heating Liquids for Utilization Of Household Electricity


It states that all Kitchen Machines and Appliances for Heating Liquids for Utilization of Household Electricity produced within the country or imported, distributed and marketed in the country shall fulfil the SNI requirements



Draft partial amendment of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Promotion of Saving and Recycling of Resources


Specific electronic products including in-car charger, cable, earphone and headset, computer mouse, and blue tooth speaker are added to subject to Article 7 (Products that must meet standards for materials, methods, etc. for packing)



Draft partial amendment of the Enforcement Rule of the Act on Standards for Packing Materials and Packing Methods of Products


Specific electronic products including in-car charger, cable, earphone and headset, computer mouse, and blue tooth speaker (small, portable, weight 300g or below only) are added to Annex table 1 of the Article 4 to be subject to the regulation of over-packing

BUREAU OF STANDARDS, METROLOGY AND INSPECTION, MOEA published an amendment of "Legal Inspection Requirements for Electric Cookers"


It became effective from 20th, May 2019



Brazil's Authority ANATEL published four new Acts:

  • Act 3481: Technical requirements and test procedures for the assessment of the compliance of chargers used with mobile phone. This act revokes Act 493
  • Act 3482: Guidelines for supplying the ANATEL approval security seal (Mint Label) for lithium batteries and chargers used in mobile phones. This Act revokes the Official Letter IG 10. Mint label (security seal) was kept as mandatory for mobile phone chargers and batteries. Label design, characteristics and material remain the same
  • Act 3484: Repeals Act No. 951, of February 8, 2018, which approves the Technical Requirements for Conformity Assessment of Lithium Batteries and Chargers Used in Mobile Phones. To approve the Technical Requirements and Test Procedures for the Evaluation of the Conformity of Lithium Batteries Used in Mobile Phones
  • Act 3448: Technical requirements for the assessment of conformity for the Base Radio Station (BRS). This Act includes the requirements for BRS using AAS Technology (Active Antenna System)



The Ministry of Economic Affairs Standards Inspection Bureau of Taiwan published an announcement establishing inspection requirements for Wireless Charger Products


It took effect from the same day of its publication
