Eurofins MET Labs, a global service leader for product approvals and regulatory certification of electrical products, announced today that Rob Frier has stepped down as CEO/President.

Rob’s position will be filled by Jay Suh, currently General Manager of Eurofins MET Labs California offices. Rob will remain with the company in a part-time advisory capacity.

Rob, son of Leonard Frier founder of MET Laboratories Inc., was CEO/President for over 25 years. He successfully led MET Laboratories for many years, and most recently orchestrated the successful transition into the Eurofins organization. Under his leadership, Eurofins MET Labs maintained a strong hold of the electrical testing industry and expanded to better serve its customers.

“Given the tremendous legacy that Rob is leaving behind, I would like to take this opportunity to thank him, on behalf of the whole MET Laboratories team for his outstanding achievement of building MET up to the impressive organization that it is today. I am grateful he is leaving us the keys to such a successful company,” said Mark van Horck, Senior Vice President, E&E Product Testing International.

Jay Suh is an exceptional leader and innovator who is passionate and committed to our principles and values. As an entrepreneur with a solid background in business development, sales and operations, Jay has the experience and tools necessary to lead Eurofins MET Labs forward into its next stage of expansion.

Mark van Horck, Senior Vice President of E&E Product Testing International at Eurofins, will hold the position of interim CEO until Jay’s replacement for our operations in California is selected.
