Eurofins Obtains Accreditation to Certify to the Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS)

Eurofins Softlines & Leather is delighted to announce that its laboratory in Elche has obtained accreditation by the IOAS for the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) for the Spanish market.

As the global standard for processing textiles made from organic fibres, GOTS sets worldwide requirements for environmentally-conscious production systems and social accountability across the organic textiles supply chain.

Eurofins Softlines & Leather in Spain is accredited for GOTS to certify in three scopes:

• Scope 1: Certification of mechanical textile processing and manufacturing operations and their products
• Scope 2: Certification of wet processing and finishing operations and their products
• Scope 3: Certification of trading operations and related products

With the GOTS accreditation, Eurofins Softlines & Leather is able to utilise its global network of testing laboratories and technical expertise to bring greater traceability across customer supply chains, allowing them to showcase their commitment to sustainable practices.

Eurofins Textile Testing Spain also hopes to gain further accreditation to provide independent 3rd party certification to our customers in the near future.
