Eurofins launches Risk-Mapped Supply Chain Service

The Eurofins Softlines & Leather – Toys & Hardlines network of laboratories is pleased to announce that it has launched a new Risk-Mapped Supply Chain service for brands and retailers worldwide.

Delivered by our Eurofins | BLC laboratory in Northampton, UK, the Risk-Mapped Supply Chain service enables brands and retailers across the consumer product industries to identify and map their various supplier tiers and to identify Environmental, Social and Governance sustainability risks in their supply chain.

By profiling and assessing sustainability risks specifically related to their suppliers, supplier locations and materials, brands and retailers can begin to prioritise key target areas for improvement in-line with their own sustainability strategy.

This service is performed by a Eurofins mapping consultant who liaises with your suppliers to collect and validate supplier data. The data is inputted into a specially designed platform using ArcGIS software to provide granular location-based data which overlays ESG risks over each of the various supplier tiers in the supply chain.  The map is interactive and allows the user to interrogate the data to identify sensitivities and make more informed sustainability decisions.

This service also supports brands and retailers to assess ESG-prioritised risks and report according to the requirements set out in the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

A Risk-Mapped Supply Chain mark is available to be used by clients who have used the service to map their supply chains and assess key sustainability risks.  The mark is an effective way to demonstrate enhanced traceability in your supply chain and show a commitment to understanding key sustainability risks that might exist.

The new capability greatly complements the wide range of sustainability services offered by Eurofins worldwide and supports brands and retailers in driving the consumer product industry towards a more sustainable supply chain.
