Eurofins Product Testing Italy Extends Recognition Under International IECEx Scheme

We are pleased to inform you that on November 4, 2025, Eurofins Product Testing Italy obtained an extension of its recognition from the International IEC System for certification to standards relating to equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres (IECEx System).

This extension applies to our activities both as an Ex Testing Laboratory (ExTL) and as an Ex Certification Body (ExCB), broadening our authorization to issue tests reports and certifications within the IECEx Scheme scope.

Below are the latest IECEx extensions obtained:

• IEC 60079-5 Ed. 4.1: Equipment protection by powder filling "q”
• IEC 60079-6 Ed. 4.1: Equipment protection by liquid immersion "o”
• IEC TS 60079-42 Ed. 1.0: Electrical Safety Devices for the control of potential ignition sources from Ex Equipment
• IEC 62784 Ed. 1.1: Vacuum cleaners and dust extractors providing equipment protection level Dc for the collection of combustible dusts – Particular requirements

Eurofins Product Testing Italy brings decades of experience to Ex product certification. We are a Notified Body for ATEX (n° 0477) and have been recognized under the IECEx Certification Scheme since 2014.
