Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL)

UCL is the largest university in French-speaking Belgium (31,000 students) and ranks in the top 15% of universities worldwide. Its 21 research institutes, 38 technology platforms, two university hospitals and three science parks house almost 300 companies and 66 spin-offs and are a testament to its research prowess.

UC Louvain is committed to carrying out cutting-edge research and innovation in collaboration with both the corporate world and society.

 

In 2020, 2021 and 2022, the Eurofins Foundation supported the employment of a young laboratory assistant, Cyril, who has autism and has been employed at the Louvain Institute of Biomolecular Science and Technology as a laboratory assistant since 2014. This financial support has allowed him to engage in professional activities, with a particular emphasis on communication and supporting other members of research groups.

The Eurofins Foundation also provided mobility grants to Master and PhD students enrolled in in genetics and sustainable nutrition studies the Bioscience Engineering Faculty in UCL.

Finally, the Foundation provided UCL with emergency grants for students facing temporary hardship.
