Kinder-Hospiz Sternenbrücke

The Sternenbrücke children's hospital offers individually tailored care and childcare services to children, adolescents and young adults up to the age of 27, as well as their relatives, with a life limiting disease, at each section of their difficult journey.

The full-time employees of the Sternenbrücke are currently supported by around 80 volunteer employees, who assist them in all areas except nursing activities. The areas of responsibility of these volunteers range from the accompaniment of the specialist nurses and the pedagogy team, to support families to manage their personal finances, to administrative tasks and management of information stands.

In 2020, the Eurofins Foundation’s donation helped support the daily costs for the full care and support of a family in the Sternenbrücke children’s hospice, providing support where the health and nursing care insurance companies do not cover costs.
