Al Majmoua

Al Majmoua is the largest microfinance institution in Lebanon. It provides low-income individuals, particularly women residing in Lebanon, with affordable financial services to build sustainable businesses.

In recent years, Al Majmoua has also focused on the youth, migrants and refugees, and provides nonfinancial services to support and strengthen beneficiaries through free technical assistance, mentoring, business management and entrepreneurship training.

In 2021/2022, the Eurofins Foundation provided a grant to the EU-MADAD funded project ‘YESI - Youth Empowerment for Social Impact’, which promotes inclusive, innovative and sustainable social entrepreneurship models.  More specifically, the project aims to enable social enterprises all over Lebanon to develop and scale innovative business initiatives through enhanced capacities and access to grants.  The supported social businesses will deliver economic, social and environmental returns for Lebanon.

This funding helped 6 business owners to purchase equipment needed to assure their continued operation, so they can continue to develop their work.
