The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) is a research and higher-education institution in engineering, architecture, sciences, and technology. It is one of the leading technical universities in Europe, with consistently high positions on international rankings. The UPC has a high graduate employment rate, with 93% of its graduates finding full-time work and 76% finding a job in under three months.

In 2021/2022, the Eurofins Foundation provided scholarships to UPC undergraduate students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The financial support from the Eurofins Foundation facilitated six salary grants to be provided, for first year students enrolled in the following bachelor's degrees linked to heath and environmental sciences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Systems and Technology Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biosystems Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomic Science Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering
