Our comprehensive training programme provides both theoretical and practical knowledge on these advanced instruments, covering their principles, operation, and applications.

Aim

Enhance your expertise and gain hands-on experience with ICP-MS (Agilent 7700 series, G5700A) and ICP-OES (Varian Vista-MPX). The training course includes:

Theoretical section: Basics of ICP-OES/MS, hardware setup, operation, parameter optimisation, analysis protocols, and maintenance.

Practical section: Hands-on experience with the instrument, including method development, sample preparation, and handling.

6-day training module:

Day 1

Introduction to the fundamentals and applications of ICP-OES/MS, software familiarisation, and instrument description.

Day 2

Components of sample introduction, sample handling, preparation, measurement systems hardware overview.

Day 3

Overview of system hardware, system setup and operation, detection limit determination, system optimisation, and background correction.

Day 4

Internal standards, analysis protocols and consideration, and sample analysis using methods of standard additions.

Day 5

Physical and spectral interferences (inter-element) and system maintenance.

Day 6

Calculation and reporting data, conclusion, and general discussion.

Minimum eligibility required: Diploma or a graduate degree in science, or currently pursuing a qualification in a related field.
