Techniques Used in Asbestos Analysis
Asbestos fibres cannot be seen with the naked eye; they can only be detected using light and polarization microscopy (PLM) or scanning electron microscopy (SEM). These methods identify the presence of asbestos and determine the exact type based on characteristics such as morphology, refractive index, and chemical structure.
