Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing Shanghai opening ceremony
Earlier this year in March the opening ceremony of Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing Shanghai laboratory was held in Shanghai. It had been under construction since 2021 and covers an area of around 2000 m². The construction was completed with the support of the Group's European and US laboratories, using a globally harmonised LIMS system, which meets the requirements of GMP regulations in China, the US and Europe. As the Group's 40th global GMP biopharmaceutical testing laboratory, Eurofins Shanghai Biopharma laboratory relies on the global testing network to provide Chinese customers with medicine and pharmaceutical safety testing services to ensure product compliance and safety performance smoothly into the target markets in China, Japan, Europe and America.
March 6, 2025 - ISO 14001 Certified in Europe
We are very pleased to announce that Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) laboratories across Europe are ISO 14001 certified.
In 2021, Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) laboratories in Europe made the decision to pursue ISO 14001 certification for all sites. This framework of documents and procedures enables our organisation to implement, maintain, and continuously improve our environmental practices.
We worked to establish our Environmental Management System (EMS) framework and, after significant efforts and thanks to the contribution of all employees, we first achieved ISO 14001 certification in March 2022. Since then, the EMS has been successfully maintained and renewed, with certification confirmed in 2025 and valid until 2028.
This demonstrates the organisation’s ongoing commitment to enhancing environmental performance by protecting the environment and preventing or mitigating adverse environmental impacts. It also supports the achievement of environmental objectives by controlling and influencing the way our organisation’s services are designed, delivered, managed, and disposed of throughout their lifecycle.
