Eurofins Food Assurance acquires EICG in Spain and expands its global portfolio in Animal Welfare and Product Certification

This acquisition is a major step for the Eurofins Assurance business in the Spanish market and we believe that the synergies and expanded scopes created by this acquisition will generate even greater value for existing and potential customers of both companies, allowing Eurofins Assurance to be better equipped to respond to the industry landscape and increasing customer expectations.

EICG is ISO 17065 certified and dedicated to the certification of production processes and agri-food products with strong portfolio in animal welfare, and product certification for Protected Designation of Origin and Protect Geographical Indication in Spain. GFSI certification standards will be the next addition to the growth plan of EICG to support the food and feed markets.
