Potable water testing

Eurofins Environment Testing New Zealand’s national network of nine water testing laboratories provides an extensive suite of testing services for councils and manufacturers of bottled water, as well as for independent household and farm water supplies.

Public water supply testing

Water quality must be assessed at source and monitored throughout the source, treatment, reticulation, and distribution systems in order to guarantee its quality and to comply with current and proposed New Zealand legislation.

We work with councils around New Zealand to sample, test and report data directly into Taumata Arowai’s Hinekōrako secure online self-service portal.

Our automated reporting process delivers fast, accurate, and compliant results while reducing administrative workload for customers. We also offer flexible reporting solutions, enabling clients to submit data directly into Hinekorako from their own premises when required.

To support seamless data management, we can provide electronic data files formatted for direct integration into a customer's databases and other internal systems.

We analyse source water, treatment plants and reticulated water supplies for a wide range of analytes, including:

  • E. coli
  • Metals
  • Fluoride and other anions
  • Semi-volatile and volatile organic compounds
  • Pesticide residues
  • Protozoa such as cryptosporidium and giarida
  • Taste and odour compounds such as geosmin, 2-Methylisoborneol and 2,4,6-Trichloroanisole
