International guidelines recommend testing for patients with a suspected or confirmed inherited cardiac disease, as well as for patients with first-degree relatives carrying a known pathogenic variant, even if the patient themselves is asymptomatic. Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics Ireland tests for the following cardiac conditions:

• patients with a suspected or confirmed inherited cardiac disease 
• first-degree relatives, even if asymptomatic, of an individual carrying a known pathogenic variant e.g. sudden cardiac death
