Vegan Verification

Assembling safety and quality in all toys and hardgoods

Test and verify vegan materials

In recent years, consumers have become more aware of factors such as sustainable materials, manufacturing environmental impacts and the product safety of the goods they purchase and as such the ‘organic’ and ‘ethical’ childcare and hardgoods markets are booming.

However, have you ever wondered if toys or furniture can also be claimed as VEGAN, and what would be required to tap into the fast-growing vegan consumer market?

Vegan Verification is an innovative programme from Eurofins | Chem-MAP® which risk assesses the materials and components used in your toy and hardgoods products, as well as providing testing of chemicals and materials, to establish whether any animal or by-products have been used.

Vegan Verification can help toy, childcare and hardgoods manufacturers, brands and retailers tap into the fast-growing vegan consumer market and correctly specify materials using a phased approach, covering the manufacture of materials, chemical management, risk assessment, and testing to achieve vegan certification of materials.

The Vegan Verification has been registered with The Vegan Society’s Vegan Trademark, and will be awarded to those companies who successfully meet verification criteria for all product components.
