Eurofins Accepted by CPSC to Perform Testing for Children’s Products Containing Button Cell or Coin Batteries per 16 CFR 1263

Eurofins | Modern Testing Services (Dongguan) Limited, part of the Eurofins Toys & Hardlines network of laboratories, is pleased to announce that its recent approval by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to conduct testing on children’s products containing button cell or coin batteries compliant with 16 CFR 1263.

 

Under 16 CFR 1263, consumer products containing or designed to use one or more button cell or coin batteries, regardless of whether such batteries are intended to be replaced by the consumer or are included with the product or sold separately, are subject to testing as per ANSI/UL 4200A-2023, Standard for Safety for Products Incorporating Button Batteries or Coin Cell Batteries, and adherence to warning label requirements.

 

Eurofins | Modern Testing Services (Dongguan) Limited is a CPSC-approved laboratory to provide testing in accordance with 16 CFR 1263 for children's product containing a coin or button cell battery for the Children's Product Certification (CPC) as per 16 CFR 1110.
