With the unemployment rate low in the scientific pool, companies are competing for strong talent and challenged with retaining staff.  A bio/pharmaceutical company’s backlog continued to grow due to challenges in recruiting and hiring QC analysts in a location with a small candidate pool. Pressure mounted as turnover increased, jeopardizing project timelines and costs.

Our Solution

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions (PSS) network of companies lifts the burden of interviewing, hiring, and managing employees, and frees up client resources to focus on other project priorities.  Although clients will need to train our PSS employees initially on their SOPs and quality systems, our Train the Trainer module allows us (with client approval) to alleviate future training responsibilities from our clients’ staff.

By casting a wider net, considering transferrable skills, and utilizing a targeted PSS specific behavioral-based selection process, Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions was able to hire, quickly onboard, and manage a highly effective team of six analysts to support finished product release and stability testing at this client’s site.  PSS was able to establish a full team in under 45 days and utilized its comprehensive core training program to quickly get the team qualified through technical and regulatory compliance training.  Our PSS team completed the client’s large backlog and began meeting timelines again. Using PSS to mitigate pressures on the client’s staff helped increase overall employee retention, as well as save time and money.
