Client’s Challenge

Due to turnover and a gap in trained resources, the client faced challenges meeting the GMP requirement for completing required training for their new, on-site employees or temporaries in the standard three month timeframe, which negatively impacted performance and quality.

Our Solution

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions network of companies focused on optimizing managed scientific services at the clients’ sites, starting with required quality and technical training.  Training and development is the foundation of PSS with a dedicated Organizational Development team delivering training prior to PSS employees working at client sites.  Eurofins PSS offers hundreds of technical, core, and leadership modules for our employees daily.  PSS employees also become certified trainers under client quality systems, expediting efficiency, driving client-required training, and setting records for quickly deploying our services.  We proactively cross-train PSS teams to ensure flexibility and continuity of services with fluctuation in technical service needs.

Results

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions teams reviewed the client’s current training plan in detail and consulted internally to determine the best path forward to meet the client’s business needs.  PSS created a new training plan that was implemented, focusing on scheduling Eurofins relevant training prior to beginning services at the client site to allow immediate client-specific training requirements in compliance with the client quality systems.  Eurofins PSS assumed the lead role in becoming certified trainers in the client’s quality systems.  This helped Eurofins PSS expedite the scheduling of training.  In addition, Eurofins PSS utilized and tailored technically relevant training modules to client-specified training requirements to ensure Eurofins PSS employees quickly provided the highest level of quality services to the client. As a result of how PSS strategically led the training process, all PSS analysts were recruited in an average timeframe of 30 days and trained to performing testing in the client’s lab within six weeks.  The average training time went from 87 days to 37 days.  This initiative saved 351 hours per person and helped deliver high quality superlative services at a record speed, exceeding the clients’ service expectations.
