Client’s Challenge

A large biopharmaceutical company was using temporary employees on a long term, consistent basis.  These temporary employees did not have full time status and the benefits offered were limited and very costly to the employee. 

The maximum duration to mitigate co-employment risk was 18 months with a 6-month extension, which meant releasing temporary employees to hire and train a new group. This not only burdened and drained Client employees, but also the concern for care of service providers arose. This Client became uncomfortable with hiring temporary employees only to release them in 18 months, if not sooner, and observed a lack of care, management and benefits that full time employees received.

Our Solution

Since PSS is a co-employment compliant program, we can stay on-site as long as the business need exists.  PSS hires full-time employees to work in Client environments.  The same comprehensive benefits are offered to PSS employees as employees working in any of our fixed Eurofins labs.

Results

Initially, PSS successfully transitioned 10 temporary employees at this large bio/pharmaceutical company in the Midwest as we built the team to over 100 PSS employees.  This strategic relationship has grown to over 200 PSS employees supporting a wide range of technical areas globally.
