Eurofins Cosmetics & Personal Care Italy now accredited for Bacterial Filtration Efficacy Testing (BFE)

ISO 14683:2019 for safety masks, under ISO 17025:2018 (in line with ASTM F2101-19 / ASTM F2100-19)

BFE Test is the main and most important test to start a production of surgical / medical masks. It can be done on mask demo or on fabric.

BFE Test method meets the requirements of the legislation EN 14683:2019+AC:2019 for surgical / medical mask as they are classified as medical devices.

Over 350 safety masks have already been tested up to date, coming from all around the world.

Eurofins Cosmetics & Personal Care Italy is based in Milan and it is the first Italian lab obtaining the accreditation of BFE testing under ISO 17025:2018.

The accreditation has been completed in a record time, thanks to excellent equipment setup and high technician's competencies.
