Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification
Benchmarked by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the Safe Quality Food (SQF) programme integrates international and domestic regulations into its food safety certification to help businesses meet the highest food safety standards. Within the Eurofins network of companies, we actively contribute to the Certification Body Committee and the Training Center Committee, and have previously served on the Technical Advisory Committee.

SQF Certification process
- Register on the SQFI Assessment Database – Visit the SQF Website
- Designate an SQF Practitioner
- Determine the scope or certification – Visit the SQF website to determine the right SQF code for your business.
- Document your SQF system
- Implement your SQF system
- (Optional) Pre-assessment audit – Pre-Assessment audits can help determine if you are ready for your audit.
- Select a Certification Body (CB) – Choose an accredited CB to conduct your certification audit.
- Complete the audit – Undergo an assessment by the CB.
- Audit reporting and closeout – Non-conformances issued, and corrective actions assessed.
- Grant certification – Upon successful completion, your SQF certificate is valid for one year.
