Our transportation network provides our clients with peace of mind. Coupled with our laboratory services, we provide quicker turnaround times for analysis of your patient samples as we manage the supply chain from sample collection through to the reporting of your test results.

Expertise

• Our logistics team has a proven record and unrivalled experience in the transport of urgent medical specimens.
• Certified to transport Clinical Dangerous Goods by Air, Road & Sea (UN3373 & UN1845) adhering to the rules and regulations of the transportation of diagnostic specimens by road (ADR) and by air (IATA).

Fleet

• We operate a small fleet of in-house vehicles covering London & the Southeast including Guildford.
• In addition we have trusted specialist medical courier partners operating throughout the UK & Europe.
• All couriers are trained to the current health and safety guidelines.

Temperature control

• Our vehicles are equipped with specialised refrigeration units and can provide the following transportation options:
• Ambient
• Refrigerated (2-8°C)
• Frozen (-20°C)

European and international sample transport

• Our logistics team can arrange a safe and efficient sample delivery service to and from Europe and the rest of the World.
• We can offer advice and help with post Brexit customs procedures, paperwork, invoicing and HS Codes / Commodity Codes.

Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics is committed to maintaining the integrity of samples transported to our laboratories, including where courier or postal transportation is not arranged by us.

Transport temperatures and sample transport requirements are audited quarterly - see our Laboratory Guide for any special sample requirements.

• Any sample that is to be posted or transported by courier must adhere to sample packaging and transportation requirements detailed within our Laboratory Guide - click here to view our Laboratory Guide.
• To avoid samples being held in transit we recommend samples are not posted immediately before a weekend or Bank Holiday.
• In extreme weather conditions, to avoid exposing samples to extreme hot or cold temperatures, we recommend samples are sent via a Royal Mail post office rather than post box.
• Home test kit samples should be packaged and returned exactly as described in the instructions for use leaflet within the test kit.
