Eurofins Textile Testing Spain S.L.U. has received financial support co-funded by IVACE (Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness and Innovation) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF/FEDER) under the R&D Cooperation Projects Programme (PIDCOP-CV), file reference IMIDCA/2025/56, within the 2021-2027 Valencian Community Regional Operational Programme.

Project Objective

The project aims to research and implement physical-chemical recycling technologies as an innovative solution for transforming textile waste containing synthetic finishes, such as synthetic and faux leather, into new raw materials. These recycled materials can then be safely reused in the manufacture of leather goods and footwear.

By promoting more sustainable waste management practices and supporting the circular economy, the project seeks to contribute to reducing the environmental impact of textile waste while creating new opportunities for material recovery and reuse.

Expected Outcomes

As part of this initiative, Eurofins Textile Testing Spain aims to:

  • Expand its portfolio of services in the analysis and certification of recycled materials.
  • Provide the textile and recycling industries with validation services for recycled materials, helping ensure compliance with applicable regulations and quality requirements.
  • Support the market acceptance of recycled materials by offering independent verification and certification services.

Through this project, Eurofins reinforces its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the development of solutions that support the transition towards a more circular and responsible textile industry.
