23 October 2026, Brussels – The Eurofins Assurance network announces the acquisition of ECCO Ingenieros S.L. (“ECCO”), a Valencia-based, established provider of certification and auditing services for the agri-food sector. Following the acquisition, ECCO Ingenieros S.L. will operate as Eurofins ECCO Ingenieros S.L., and continue to provide its high-quality services while benefiting from the support of Eurofins Assurance’s extensive global network.
With over 20 years of experience, ECCO is ISO/IEC 17065-accredited and was the first certification body to receive accreditation from ENAC, the national accreditation body in Spain, to deliver the IFS Broker Standard. ECCO supports both domestic and international businesses in the agri-food industry through a wide range of services, including delivering certifications for multiple IFS schemes, BRCGS Food Safety, and GLOBALG.A.P., as well as offering food safety and process management programmes.
