The 2025 China Pesticide Exporting Workshop (CPEW), held on July 10–11, brought together global leaders in crop protection to explore innovation, strategy, and sustainability in agricultural markets.
Among the sessions delivered, was a joint presentation by Christoph Grondal (Eurofins Agroscience Services) and Nomman Ahmed (Kynetec). Titled ‘From Data Insight to Market,’ the speakers tackled the complex landscape of product development and registering crop protection products in the European Union.
Highlighted were the pitfalls and success factors that companies face when entering the EU market, the importance of regulatory compliance, timing, and strategic investment. These insights were grounded in real-world case studies, offering attendees a roadmap to avoid costly missteps and maximize return on investment.
In collaboration with the Kynetec team, Christoph and Nomman showcased how farmer-level data can transform decision-making; by analysing granular insights from growers, companies can better determine which projects to launch—and when. This approach not only improves market targeting but also enhances value creation in an increasingly competitive landscape.
Their presentation echoed a broader theme at CPEW: the rise of data-driven strategy in crop protection. As global markets evolve and sustainability becomes paramount, leveraging analytics is no longer optional—it’s essential. The message was clear: smarter decisions lead to more sustainable growth.
CPEW 2025 served as a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas, forging partnerships, and charting the future of agriculture. With nearly 500 delegates from over 230 firms in attendance, the event reaffirmed its role as a catalyst for innovation in the crop protection industry.
