Surely the best way to convince someone to use a bicycle as a means of transportation is to experience the benefits of cycling for themselves - with this in mind, 2024 saw another drive to promote the use of bicycles for both commuting to work and as a leisure activity.
Following a great response to the cycling competition in summer 2023, this year, our colleagues took part in a competition organized by the local community. As part of STADTRADELN, teams pedal for a local team - between 28 June and 18 July 2024, the aim was to cycle as many kilometers as possible on 21 consecutive days.
In total, 24 colleagues covered an impressive 7000 kilometers, which resulted in a saving of 1163 kg of CO2. Distances cycled were impressive:
We would like to congratulate everyone involved and hope that this is an incentive for us all; motivation to continue to actively pedal for both personal health and the environment!
