Eurofins Agro Testing announces the integration of the Eurofins LAGRA laboratory in Beja, Portugal into the Eurofins Agro Testing network, effective 1 July 2026. Formerly part of the Eurofins Food Testing network, the laboratory now joins Eurofins Análisis Agro in Lleida, northeastern Spain, and Eurofins CSR Agro Testing in Úbeda, southern Spain, to form a strong agricultural testing alliance across the Iberian Peninsula.
Together, the three laboratories expand Eurofins Agro Testing’s geographical coverage and service offering across Spain and Portugal. By combining local expertise, complementary capabilities and an extensive agricultural testing portfolio supported by other Eurofins Agro Testing laboratories in Europe, Eurofins Agro Testing is well positioned to serve farmers, growers, advisors and agri-food businesses across the Iberian Peninsula.
Located in Beja, in the heart of one of Portugal’s key agricultural regions, Eurofins LAGRA brings valuable local knowledge and laboratory expertise to the Eurofins Agro Testing network. The integration strengthens Eurofins Agro Testing’s ability to support agricultural producers with reliable analytical services that help improve soil, crop and water management.
Eurofins Agro Testing supports the development of more resilient crops across the Iberian market, which is becoming increasingly important as farmers and growers face the effects of climate change. Extended soil and crop testing services can provide the insights needed to optimise nutrient use, improve crop performance and support more sustainable farming practices.
Eurofins Análisis Agro in Lleida, Eurofins CSR Agro Testing in Úbeda and Eurofins LAGRA in Beja will work together and harness synergies to offer customers a broader portfolio of agricultural testing services. The three-laboratory alliance reinforces Eurofins Agro Testing’s commitment to providing high-quality analytical results, practical insights and trusted support to the agricultural sector.
As climate conditions become more unpredictable, access to accurate soil, crop and water data is becoming an invaluable benefit to farmers and growers. Through this expanded Iberian alliance, Eurofins Agro Testing aims to help customers better understand their production systems, close yield gaps, optimise input use and build more resilient growing strategies.
