Pesticides, PCBs and Herbicides

Eurofins Environment Testing offers a range of methodology to support the testing of Organochlorine and Organophosphorus Pesticides, Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), Polychlorinated Triphenyls (PCTs), Chlorinated and Triazine Herbicides, n-Methylcarbamates, explosives and other organic constituents. These compounds, which are often associated with industrial, agricultural and commercial activity, may not readily break down in the environment and may persist in the surrounding water, soil and even air.

We test drinking water, wastewater, oils and various solid matrices such as soil, solid waste, sediment, tissue and building materials and use state-of-the-art instrumentation, such as Gas Chromatographs (GC) equipped with Nitrogen-Phosphorous (NPD) or Electron Capture detectors (ECD) flame ionization detectors (FID) as well as High Performance Liquid Chromatographs (HPLC) to perform these analyses.

Why choose Eurofins Environment Testing?

  • Our chemists have in-depth experience analyzing PCBs in a range of matrices, including soils, sediments, aqueous samples, oils, tissues and building materials. We utilize several cleanup techniques to minimize interferences. We can also use large volume injection to achieve low detection limits on post-remediated samples.
  • Our GC technique employs second-column analysis to confirm the presence of pesticides, herbicides and PCBs. We have an experienced team and equipment dedicated exclusively for pesticide, PCB and herbicide testing to enable us to handle projects of virtually any scope and size.
