Training for teams in Latin America!
Our Brazilian field team, including researchers and assistants, recently enjoyed a week-long training session, combining theory and practice, during the first few weeks of the local cropping season. It proved to be an invaluable experience in terms of knowledge sharing and team building!.
The training, delivered by the Brazilian management team, had the added benefit of bringing together members of the field team from different locations across Brazil such as Cambé (Paraná), Conchal (Sao Paulo) and Uberlândia (Minas Gerais).
Our Business Leaders opened the session with an update on Eurofins Agroscience Services operations globally, and a focus on sales and marketing activities. ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) was an important topic during the week, and the steps Eurofins is taking in order to be a good corporate citizen were discussed.
EAS’ Brazilian Field Research Managers presented the main legislation that regulates Residue and Efficacy Studies, along with biosafety and biotech regulation. During the field-based sessions, GAP (Good Agricultural Practice) was a key focus, with examples of this in action, such as application, sampling, and correct use of equipment in the field.
From the Ecotoxicology side, our experts demonstrated different kinds of studies that are required for registration and revaluation of agrochemicals in Brazil. Also discussed were ways of avoiding cross contamination during these studies, with a visit to the apiaries to finalize the training week.
All in all, it was a fantastic training experience which also brought the team closer together!
