Pollinator studies in progress!

In North America, pollinator field research is in full swing!

Early in June, EAS teams kicked off the pollinator research season with an EPPO 170 study using buckwheat as an attractive crop in North Carolina.

So far in July, a large open field pollen feeding study has been established in North Carolina.  This study alone requires 96 hives placing at 12 apiaries. Several pollinator residue trials have also commenced at Eurofins Agroscience Services field locations in North Carolina, Indiana and California.

You can see some pictures below showing our soybean pollinator residue trial site in NC. We are collecting soybean flowers as well as foraging bees for residue analysis.
