EAS Group recently expanded European capabilities for your seed treatment projects

Biological and/or chemical products can be used to effectively protect seeds, provide early control of pests and pathogens, improving the establishment of healthy crops. Seed treatment is an important part of the solution to minimize biotic and abiotic pressure in the field, to grow resilient plants and secure crop yields.

The active substance is applied to the seed at early stage prior to sowing thus hugely limiting the treated area when compared to spraying a crop in the field, for instance. It reduces the potential exposure risks for operators, bystanders, and minimizes risks to non-target species and the environment.
As a consequence, this technology contributes towards more sustainable use of pesticides and plays an important role in integrated pest management (IPM).

Seed treatment requires specific expertise and precision application technology to deliver high quality results

In May 2022, we established a seed processing and treatment factory in Germany dedicated to the needs of the biostimulant, plant protection and seeds sector, with industry-standard equipment. Our team of specialists can turn around projects quickly and efficiently, with separate processing lines for chemicals and biologicals and high capacity for seed batches up to 10 tons. We have obtained GLP and GEP accreditation, with FIBL certification in progress.

Check our online content to learn more about our service offer including:

  • Seed cleaning and physical tuning
  • Seed coating (seed batches up to 10 tons)
  • Quality check, phys-chem and pathology testing
  • Full project management and dispatch to multiple sites

These services are fully integrated with our global network of field stations and laboratories across both hemispheres, to conduct your projects throughout the year in key field crops and vegetables.
