EAS attends PSS-J 2023 in Japan
Eurofins Agroscience Services were pleased to participate in the 48th Annual Meeting of the Pesticide Science Society of Japan (PSS-J) from March 08 to 10, 2023, Tokyo!
This annual PSS-J event is the only academic conference in Japan to cover a broad selection of topics for plant protection products, attracting around 500 researchers from academia and industry.
Japan Analytical Chemical Consultants (JACC), part of the Eurofins Agroscience Services network of companies, presented local and global capabilities from their exhibition booth. Many attendees stopped by the booth to exchange information and discuss future projects.
EAS colleagues Mirko Lindner (Hamburg, DE) and Michael Buckley (Derby, UK) presented at the luncheon seminar on March 09. Their presentation, titled "The importance of robust method development in complex analytical challenges – Human Exposure as Case Study," was very well received.
Recent changes in the regulations for pesticide use in Japan has meant that there is a potential requirement for risk assessments on the use of plant protection products. As a result, Human Exposure studies may be requested to produce relevant data for the risk assessments.
The luncheon seminar was very well attended, with some participants commenting that it was the first time that they’d been able to learn the details of these study types. We received great feedback and many positive comments!
