How we support the jewelry sector

Heavy metal and allergen testing

We identify restricted substances like lead, nickel, and cadmium to help brands meet REACH, RoHS, and other global safety regulations, avoiding legal risk and consumer harm.

Durability and wear testing

Our mechanical and corrosion tests assess resistance to tarnishing, breakage, and everyday wear, ensuring jewelry maintains quality throughout its lifecycle.

Navigate Amazon’s Direct Validation requirements for children’s jewellery

Amazon requires flagged children’s jewelry ASINs in the US and Canada to undergo Direct Validation (DV) through an Amazon-approved Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) provider.

The US policy covers decorative items intended for children aged 12 or younger. The Canadian policy covers children aged 15 or younger. Products include bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings, watches and jewelry-making or repair kits in both marketplaces.

Eurofins Softlines & Hardlines is proud to be an Amazon-approved TIC provider and has close connections with Amazon to ensure our customers and their sellers meet requirements and have their products listed to sell.

As an Amazon-approved Direct Validation provider, Eurofins Softlines & Hardlines helps you meet these requirements quickly and efficiently:

  • Document verification: Review of test reports, the Children’s Product Certificate (CPC), and supporting documents for applicable chemical and physical safety requirements
  • Label & manual review: Review of tracking labels, age grading, applicable hazard warnings, and product instructions
  • Corrective support: Provide corrective advice and coordinate additional testing or re-inspection where needed
  • Certificate upload & reporting: Submit validated compliance documents to Amazon and share reports with sellers

Before testing begins, tell us that the results are intended for Amazon and specify whether you will sell in the US, Canada or both. This allows us to plan the required scope, report format, images and supporting data. Identifying Amazon only after testing is complete may lead to report revisions or further testing.
