At Eurofins, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are also committed to conducting our business to the highest ethical standards and operating in a responsible and sustainable manner. We embed corporate sustainability principles in our business strategy and the way we operate, creating long-term value while contributing to a healthier and safer world.

Our objective

Carbon neutral in 2025

We recognise our responsibility to help take care of the world we live in. That’s why, in 2020, we set a public target for the Group to become carbon neutral by 2025.

We are proud to confirm that Eurofins has achieved carbon neutrality for emissions from its own operations (scope 1 and 2 emissions, business travel and commuting emissions), as of 2025.

Our companies are committed to measuring and reducing their carbon emissions. Efforts to compensate part of Eurofins’ unavoidable carbon footprint, although not mandatory, are a priority for us, given the vital importance of reducing the speed of global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius, as set out by the Paris Agreement in 2015.

Our network of over 150 CO₂ Champions assist with our carbon footprint reduction and measurement exercise and help business Leaders to implement local reduction strategies using shared experiences across our network. Local carbon reduction projects include, but are not limited to, renewable energy sourcing, green commuting initiatives (e.g. carpooling, bike to work challenges, public transportation subsidies, on-site electric vehicle charging stations), improving building insulation, replacing high-consumption technology, solar panel installations and many more.

Our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

As part of our commitment to ethical, responsible and sustainable business operations, Eurofins supports, directly or indirectly, 16 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), and we continue to expand our alignment with the UN SDGs.

ESG reporting

We are proud to share a dedicated Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report each year, with more information on our sustainability goals and activities.
