With the rise of environmental consciousness among consumers and the community, organic cotton has become more popular in recent years. Whether you are a buyer purchasing organic cotton for production, or a supplier producing organic cotton, how do you make sure that your cotton is genuinely organic?

Organic cotton refers not only to the use of conventional non-GMO lines but also to an absence of synthetic pesticides and hazardous chemicals in the farming practice. To validate if the cotton is truly organic or not, both GMO testing and pesticides and hazardous chemicals analyses are required.

The Organic Cotton Identification Services, offered by Eurofins, is a comprehensive solution that works on the globally recognised ISO/ IWA 32:2019 "Screening of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in cotton and textiles" testing standard, and a testing protocol specially developed against pesticides and hazardous chemicals in cotton, to cater the true needs in verifying organic cotton.

You are invited to join a one-hour webinar where a Eurofins GMO testing expert and a garment testing expert will walk you through information about organic cotton testing and share their insights from their experience supporting different customers in assessing their organic cotton products.

Webinar agenda:

  • Understanding what organic cotton actually is
  • Introduction of ISO/ IWA 32:2019 "Screening of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in cotton and textiles"
  • Explanation of organic cotton pesticides and hazardous chemical testing protocol
  • Benefits of Eurofins’ Organic Cotton Identification Services
