Eurofins´ Global Technical Leader, was present in the Global Standardization Meeting for textiles celebrated in Ponzano Veneto (Italy) in October.

From 13th to 18th October were celebrated in Ponzano Veneto (Italy) different meetings addressing present and future of international standardization in Textiles. The Spanish delegation participating (Eurofins, AEQCT, Intexter), attended the SC 1 Meeting (Tests for colored textiles and colorants) and the ISO/TC 38 (Textiles) plenary meetings where it was reviewed the status of the different standardization projects as well the ones to be developed in the future, where standardization in textiles sustainability related topics will play an important role.

The committee was born in 1947 and has nowadays 28 Participating members and 47 Observing members. This committee is subdivided in 16 subcommittees and working groups that, between all, have published by today 399 International Standards on which some of them contribute to 4 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Good Health and Wellbeing, Decent work and Economic Growth, Industry, innovation and Infrastructure and Responsible Production and Consumption)
