Thursday, February 21, 2013
Eurofins Scientific (EUFI.PA), the global leader in food and feed testing, is hosting several Focal Point Webinars on Friday, the 22nd of February, 2013, for an interactive discussion of the issues related to the ongoing horse meat scandal in Europe. Following the oversubscription for the first webinars scheduled at 11h00 CET (in German) and 14h00 CET (in English), Eurofins will be hosting a third one at 16h00 CET (in English).
Experts across the Eurofins Group will be on hand to answer any questions from clients and other participants in the live event. Topics to be covered include meat speciation, detection of veterinary drug residues and other contaminants, analytical methods, compliance with existing and emerging food safety regulations, and any other subjects that participants wish to address related to the current meat industry developments in Europe.
The principal goal of this specific webinar is to provide all interested stakeholders in the food supply chain assistance in (i) determining the most important issues from the horsemeat scandal relevant to them; (ii) complying with existing and new regulations; and (iii) improving risk management in clients' production chain.
Carmen Diaz-Amigo, Director for Conference Management at Eurofins says: "With our Focal Point Webinar services, we help our customers obtain all relevant information instantly. We gather our experts to answer all questions live and on the spot. This has shown to be greatly appreciated during food industry crises such as the present meat scandal. Better information leads to better protection for clients, and ultimately better protection for consumers".
