Asbestos Risk Assessment

Eurofins Maritime Services (EMS) provides asbestos risk assessments in accordance with IMO guideline MSC/Circ.1045, which requires asbestos-containing materials on board ships to be monitored within a cycle of three years.
The risk assessment evaluates the condition, location and potential exposure risks of asbestos-containing materials, supporting shipowners and managers in maintaining a safe working environment on board.
EMS asbestos risk assessments include on-site inspections by experienced surveyors, evaluation of existing asbestos documentation and assessment of material condition and accessibility. Based on the findings, clear recommendations are provided for continued monitoring, management or removal.
These assessments support compliance with IMO and IHM requirements and form an essential part of an effective asbestos management strategy.
With worldwide coverage through more than 900 Eurofins offices, EMS offers global availability of experienced surveyors to perform asbestos risk assessments efficiently and in compliance with international regulations.
