Origin of Eurofins Maritime Services
Eurofins Maritime Services grew from the Sanitas B.V. which has an extensive experience in asbestos surveys and asbestos inspections on different type of industries (i.a. the maritime industry) for over 15 years.
In 2018 Eurofins IHM is created under the Sanitas B.V. with the aim to perform hazardous materials investigations/surveys, maintenance and asbestos management in the maritime industry. Over a period of two years these services were performed for various clients.
Given the larger potential of the Eurofins Group and the market demand, Eurofins IHM decided to broaden its scope per October 2020. Eurofins IHM grew into Eurofins Maritime Services with the aim to extend more of the in-house analytical knowledge to the maritime industry

Collectively, Eurofins has 200,000 validated analytical methods and over 450 million tests are performed each year.
Eurofins contributes to a clean and safe environment by providing market-leading laboratory testing, monitoring and consultancy services. With respect to the Maritime Industry our services comprise testing of oil and water as well as inventory of hazardous materials to assess their quality and impact on health and the environment.
