Update Harmonised Standards- RED

On 9 February 2018, the European Commission  published: “Commission communication in the framework of the implementation of Directive 1999/5/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment and the mutual recognition of their conformity and Directive 2014/53/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of radio equipment and repealing Directive 1999/5/EC”

On 18th December 2017, the Australian Communications and Media Authority  published the Radiocommunications Labelling (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Notice 2017 in Federal Register legislation.

Canada

New Requirements for 2 GHz Personal Communications Services

On 5th February 2018, the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Economic Development of Canada notified World Trade Organization (WTO) the publication of Notice No. SMSE-001-18 – Release of RSS-133, Issue 6 (amendment).

This notice indicates the requirements for the certification of transmitters and receivers used in radiocommunication systems of Personal Communications Services in the bands 1850-1915 MHz and 1930-1995 MHz.
