Practical guides of essential oils
In December 2018, Direction Générale de la Concurrence, de la Consommation et de la Répression des Fraudes (DGCCRF) published a guide about essential oils and their applicable regulations depending on their use.

China NMPA Consults on Administration Measures for Cosmetic Registration and Filing Testing
On 3rd January 2019, China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) issued a cosmetic inspection regulation “Administration Measures for Cosmetic Registration and Filing Testing (Draft)” for public consultation.
Once implemented, the previous “Measures for Cosmetic Administrative Licensing Testing” and “Measures for Qualification of Cosmetic Administrative Licensing Testing Institutions” will be abolished.
The period of compilation of opinions or comments ended on January 31, 2019.

Update of Bill 2017 that affect to cosmetics products
On 11th January 2019, Australian Department of Health published a notice with the last update about the new Industrial Chemicals legislation (Bill 2017).
In this legislation, cosmetic products are considered as industrial chemical products and they are affected by this new scheme which bans testing of cosmetic products on animals. It is expected to be implemented on 1st July 2020.
This and other points related with the new Industrial Chemicals legislation will be debated the first half of 2019 in the Senate.
The current regulatory scheme for industrial chemicals (NICNAS) will continue in force until the Australian Industrial Chemical Introduction Scheme (AICIS) begins.
