Eurofins Cosmetics & Personal Care announces the completion of the acquisition of a majority stake in CRA Korea Inc., a South Korea based clinical testing laboratory. The acquisition extends Eurofins Cosmetics & Personal Care’s global leadership position and accelerates future growth, especially in key markets in Asia Pacific. It will enable Eurofins Cosmetics and Personal Care to expand its presence and service offering to local and regional customers and grow its capabilities in clinical studies. Supported by 21 unrivalled clinical capabilities and strong innovation, the Eurofins Cosmetics & Personal Care laboratory network offers a broad service offering and differentiated clinical studies.
CRA Korea Inc., based in Cheongju-Si, South Korea is an institution specialising in skin specific clinical evaluation of materials, formulations and products in the cosmetic, health functional food and pharmaceutical fields. CRA Korea Inc. conducts studies with dermatologists and experts and has extensive experience in clinical studies, consumer tests, sensory evaluation and in vitro tests.
CRA Korea Inc’s service offering will complement Eurofins Korea Analytic Service’s well-established analytical capabilities, providing clients with unique analytical, microbiological and clinical solutions.
CRA Korea Inc. will hereafter be referred to as “Eurofins CRA”.

CRA Korea Inc., a CRO based in Cheongju-Si, was established in 2019 to conduct accurate cosmetic clinical research by gathering Korean cosmetics-related experts (formulations, ingredients, efficacy dermatologists, etc.) with more than 20 years of experience. It employs 8 staff who are highly skilled and motivated in their fields. It primarily provides safety and efficacy studies, consumer tests, sensory evaluation to the cosmetics and personal care industry. The company has developed significant relationships with local key brands on skin care, body care, make-up, hair care, functional cosmetics, functional food and quasi-drug evaluation that requires high level of expertise. |
