Public consultation about Evaluation of Food Contact Materials (FCM)

On 11^th February 2019, the European Commission opened the Online Public Consultation: Evaluation of Food Contact Materials to compile views, opinions and evidences on the functioning of Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 (Food Contact Materials legislation).

This evaluation started with the publication of the Commission’s plans in November 2018. The evaluation will seek the view of stakeholders, public authorities and the general public as to whether the current EU legislation for FCMs is fit for purpose and delivers as expected.

All the documentation about this evaluation will be published in the European Commission’s website.

This public consultation will be opened until 6^th May 2019.
